Miami Swim Week recap.

Coconuts, bikini babes & Miami heat.
I have always loved coming to Miami for a little getaway and I have even considered moving here when I was trying to decide between Los Angeles or here [Miami]. This trip was very different, it was filled with many shows to attend, a full schedule to stay on top of on daily basis and many photos to take - sounds hectic, huh? yes it sure was. It showed me a different side of Miami which I absolutely loved, being able to work & play in this paradise was more than I could ever ask for - for that reason I have extended my stay and am currently looking out the window to the turquoise waters of  the beautiful South Beach while sharing my getaway on here with you.

What's a Miami Swim Week.
A week in Miami filled with back-to-back fashion shows where designers showcase their upcoming collections.

Highlights of Miami Swim Week.
I went to quite a few shows including Beach Bunny, INDAH, Maaji, Luli Fama etc. followed by their after parties which not going to lie many I had to skip on due to another busy day ahead and my lack of energy [I blame the 3 hr time difference lol]. The highlights of the Miami Swim Week would be seeing the new collections that models were rocking on the runways [yessss, I got some major summer/wedding body inspo!!].

Favorite show.
Beach Bunny & INDAH.  If you followed me along on Insta stories I tried to show as much as I could during the shows, unfortunately the light wasn't good for the photos so I stuck to stories & Insta live for the rest of the trip.
I loved both shows for different reasons, I absolutely LOVED INDAH pieces as they have more of clothing pieces and mainly plain color swimwear that has insane, cut-out details throughout the body that I cannot wait to get my hands on as they were all gorg! Beach Bunny on the other side had lots of cute, flirty printed swimsuit pieces that are great for any vacay you may be going on! Both were great and make sure to keep an eye out on the new arrivals they will have shortly!

Favorite places to eat at.
My friend has introduced me to quite a few yummy & healthy spots in Miami that were beyond delish which I could not wait to share on here so that you can bookmark it and check it out next time you're here! Both spots offer light meals that are refreshing in this Miami Heat.
DIRT [check them out on HERE , Pura Vida (HERE) and Dreamers Miami (HERE).

Where to stay.
We stayed at Shelborne which is in the main area and is conveniently located in the heart of everything. But any hotel located in the main area is great to stay in if you're looking to walk to dinner, explore or go out etc. and want to beat all the traffic and hassle of getting uber.

Must-see spots in Miami.
  • Beach [duhhh]. We took a short walk on Ocean Dr. to get brunch at and came across many cute spots and shops by the beach side. I highly suggest going for a walk & exploring without a plan on where to go.
  • 1 hotel - great atmosphere by the poolside, basement [which has ice skating rink and a bowling alley], STK restaurant downstairs & beautiful decor everywhere in the hotel.
  • Different districts in Miami, such as Design, Wynwood Arts etc.
