Thailand has some of the most beautiful islands in the world. Flight might be long, but it is worth every hour.It was my first time in Phuket and if someone asked me to describe it in one word, it would be "paradise". Here is a few photos from my trip, suggestions for places to go to, as well as some tips for your trip.

I would have never expected an elephant ride to be so enjoyable, but yet so bumpy! They are such beautiful creatures, make sure you bring some bananas to feed them. :)

View from Westin hotel. If you plan on staying here, keep in mind that it is about 30 minute ride to most of the activities ( without traffic )  and about an hour to Patong Beach ( you can take a hotel shuttle ) .

Hotel has 3 different pools, which is great if you just want to stay at the hotel, relax and enjoy a beautiful scenery.

When in Thailand, going to Tiger Safari and riding elephants is a must !
I highly suggest paying extra and having a professional photographer take your pictures when being in a cage with the tigers, after all it is a once in a lifetime experience ! Make sure you get it captured right.

Patong Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. On the way there you will cross many stores which are great for buying souvenirs.

One of the most romantic dinners i have ever been to in my life. Watching the sunset of Phuket left me speechless.

Another great activity i suggest is wake boarding at the water park. I was not able to take any photos, but here is some i found online ! It was my first time doing it and i absolutely loved it ! http://www.phuketwakepark.com

TIPS:
Do not be scared to bargain the prices on things you want to buy
Save money by taking taxis instead of the cars provided by the hotel. Taxis will drop you off and wait for you until you are done with your dinner or activities. Hotel car will charge you by the hour.
Traffic starts at 4pm. Plan activities accordingly.
